Job Description

A Quality Assurance Role in Restaurant Technology

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about testing and ensuring software works smoothly. In this role, you will work on restaurant and food-tech systems like POS machines, digital kiosks, mobile apps, and integrations with payment or delivery partners.

This includes:

  • Understanding requirements clearly and raising questions if anything is missing.
  • Keeping track of queries and updates so the team always has clarity.
  • Creating test cases and scenarios to cover all possible situations.
  • Preparing and managing test data (POS setups, menu, kiosk flows, integrations).
  • Performing manual and automation testing – including system, integration, and regression testing.
  • Testing APIs, POS systems, kiosks, and menu modules.
  • Reporting bugs, tracking them, and following through until resolved.
  • Joining daily calls/meetings with onsite teams to discuss issues and updates.
  • Working closely with developers and product managers to ensure everything meets the acceptance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to 3+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA, we are looking for:

  • Hands-on testing experience with POS, menus, kiosks, loyalty/payment/delivery integrations.
  • A strong knowledge of mobile app testing (iOS/Android).
  • API testing experience (Postman, SOAP UI or similar).
  • Automation testing (Selenium-Java or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with QA tools like JIRA, Zephyr, QC, TestLink.
  • A good understanding of Agile ways of working.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • ISTQB certification is a bonus.
  • Someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and can handle ownership of tasks.

Prior experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or Retail systems is a plus.
