Cloud Data Engineer

This is a senior-level role within our Data Engineering team where you will play a pivotal part in setting up the Data Lake on Cloud and implementing a standardized Data Model for a single view of the customer.

You will be responsible for developing data pipelines for new sources, performing data transformations within the Data Lake, implementing GraphQL, working with NoSQL databases, CI/CD, and data delivery as per business requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement pipelines to bring in a wide variety of data from multiple sources within the organization and public data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption.
  • Work with the team to provide an effective solution design to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a team player.
  • Excellent problem analysis skills.
  • Good knowledge of the Azure Databricks platform.
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Infra provider (Azure/AWS).
  • Experience in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language.
  • Knowledge of NOSQL databases, including Cosmos DB, Restful APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Basic understanding of scripting (shell/bash) and DevOps practices using Git version control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC).
  • Experience of working with multiple data sources, including relational databases and flat files.

We are looking for individuals who can debug, fine-tune, and optimize large-scale data processing jobs and have a basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo, and Azure Dev-ops.
