Senior Executive-Direct Tax Role Overview

Deloitte presents a unique opportunity for individuals to excel in their careers as Senior Executives in our Global Business Tax Team.

  • This role entails building and nurturing positive working relationships with teams and clients, aiming to exceed client expectations.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Assisting on tax advisory matters by conducting in-depth research on tax technical situations.
  2. Preparing tax opinions, short notes, and email responses on day-to-day clients' tax matters.
  3. Undertaking compliances such as filing tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, provisioning for income tax, and other tax filings.
  4. Assisting on tax assessment/litigation proceedings before the assessing officer, other income tax authorities, and higher appellate forums.
  5. Coordinating with internal stakeholders to enable on-the-job work requirements.
  6. Assisting in daily operational activities such as coordinating with custodians, receiving reporting from custodians, processing it into systems, generating various tax-related reports, validating tax advice letters, and reports.
  7. Supporting system development/enhancement-related projects by creating user requirement documents and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
  8. Managing client due diligence, KYC documents for onboarding, and risk renewal processes.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Graduates/Semi-qualified C.A/C.S/MBA(Finance) with 1-3 years of experience in Direct Taxation.
  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Clarity of concepts.
  • Team player qualities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Persistent and persuasive abilities.
  • Effective computer proficiencies, particularly in Excel, Word, and PPT.
