Job Summary

The Head of Technical and Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from material selection to product delivery. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, ensuring that the manufacturing process meets quality standards and is profitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of injection molding processes and technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to optimize production schedules, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor quality control protocols to ensure that products meet food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste, reduce setup times, and improve operational excellence.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and make informed decisions to ensure financial sustainability and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience of 10-15 years in plant and operations management within the plastics manufacturing industry, with a focus on injection molding.
  • Expertise in injection molding processes, technologies, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of quality control practices, lean manufacturing principles, and injection molding best practices.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing and ERP software.
