Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

Allegion India is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our organization's systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work with a team of cross-functional product development engineers to design, implement, and maintain highly available and resilient systems.

We are looking for someone who can contribute to the overall stability and efficiency of our technology stack throughout the Allegion product portfolio by developing and implementing automation tools and frameworks to streamline operational processes.

The successful candidate will monitor and analyze system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing highly available and scalable infrastructure systems
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams to build and deploy applications using best practices in reliability, scalability, and security
  • Developing and implementing automation tools and frameworks to streamline operational processes
  • Monitoring and analyzing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize performance and scalability
  • Implementing and maintaining effective monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Required skills include:

  • Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, EKS)
  • Proficient in configuration management tools like Ansible and infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting)
  • Ability to program (Structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Java and JavaScript

Additional requirements include:

  • Solid understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security best practices
  • Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, Amazon S3, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
  • Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Strong skills in software design, design patterns
  • Experience in different architecture patterns like client-server/server less computing
