Job Responsibilities:

  • Enforce discipline among students, ensuring they adhere to published rules and regulations, taking prompt action against misbehavior and indiscipline, and reporting incidents to the Head Operations/Administration.
  • Oversee student accommodation and hostel administration in coordination with the accommodation provider/third party.
  • Ensure smooth facility operations and resolve matters concerning student welfare through the BIT Law Administration Head.
  • Prevent incidents detrimental to student safety and security, taking all necessary actions.
  • Handle new admissions, allocate rooms based on agreed criteria, manage student diet, provide a safe and comfortable stay, and create a home-away-from-home experience.
  • Develop and follow a procedure for students leaving the housing facility during holidays/local stays, maintaining records.
  • Attend emergencies, including medical emergencies, and ensure overall student well-being.
  • Maintain housekeeping, pest control, hygiene, maintenance, and cleanliness of units, upkeep, and overall ambiance of the hostel premises.
  • Conduct room inspections to maintain a proper vigil system.
  • Monitor student canteen/café menu, food quality, and hygiene levels.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day hostel activities.
  • Supervise all matters related to hostel administration.
  • Take attendance and prepare daily reports as required by management.
  • Manage Night Out Pass/Gate pass procedures.
  • Be responsible for accommodation security, checking visitor credentials.
  • Report serious indiscipline/ragging cases to the Disciplinary committee.
  • Ensure timely medical aid for ill residents or those involved in accidents, including hospitalization.
  • Welcome and ensure a smooth transition for new students upon arrival.
  • Custodian and in-charge of hostel properties and accountable for inventories.
