We are seeking a highly skilled BoD Variant Administrator to join our team at Nexteer Automotive - India Technical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and analyzing both mHW and eHW variants used within our BoD systems, as well as their relationships with system performance characteristics and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of power electronics and thermal design principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of electronic circuit design, debug, and schematics.
  • Strong background in power electronics theory and signal processing.
  • General competency in all core fields (electronics, electromagnetics, computer hardware and software).
  • Must be familiar with ECU construction methods and techniques to minimize package size and minimize power loss.
  • Working competency in using standard lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Proven ability to create new products, algorithms, and systems through innovation.
  • Strong computer skills, and knowledge of simulation tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) is required.
  • Excellent problem definition and solving techniques as well as good organization and documentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to look at computer screen/monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Background in automotive engineering and chassis systems (steering, braking, suspension, traction/propulsion).
  • Previous experience in hardware design of automotive electrified propulsion products or equivalent.
  • Experience with PCB layout techniques and tools, Cadence/Orcad experience a plus.

Qualification Required:

  • Master of Science or bachelor's in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering.
  • Strong skills in problem solving like Six Sigma.
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to evaluate various technology alternatives to achieve project goals, especially design - process trade offs.
  • Experience in design, manufacturing process and controls of mechanical gears.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and software issues.
