Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to support the development and implementation of various projects.

The key responsibilities include:

">
  • ">
  • Preparation of equipment layout and civil outline drawings for wastewater and desalination.">
  • Preparation of piping material specifications and valve material specifications as per project requirements.">
  • Cross-checking of hydraulic calculations and hydraulic flow diagrams during detail engineering.">
  • Preparation of pump head calculations and blower head calculations.">
  • Preparation of RFQs for bought-out items such as intake pumps, compressors, and other equipment.">
  • Preparation of technical datasheets for all rotary and static equipment.">
  • Preparation of technical bid evaluations and manufacturing clearances for all bought-out equipment.">
  • Checking of vendor GA documents for various equipment.">
  • Follow-up with vendors and clients for document approvals.">
  • Preparation of line sizing and pipe wall thickness calculations.">
  • Design and preparation of fabrication skid drawings, including UF module racks, valve racks, and compact high-pressure RO skids.">
  • Checking of piping isometric drawings and piping 2D GA drawings.">
  • Checking of pipe supports drawings, including above-ground and below-ground thrust blocks.">
  • Preparation and checking of mechanical GA drawings based on bought-out details.">
  • Preparation of initial and final piping MTOs (Material to be ordered).">
  • Preparation of erection BOMs and release for site.">
  • Coordination with other disciplines, including process, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.">
  • Co-ordination of site teams and preparation of as-built drawings.">
  • To understand design risks and assumptions associated with the project and manage these risks.">
  • To record risks and assumptions as the project progresses.">
  • To ensure designers' responsibilities under CDM are adhered to by all team members.">
  • To promote good HSE practices and minimize risks to operators/maintainers.">
  • To understand environmental issues associated with the design and manage them through the design process.">
  • Undertake post-project reviews to identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.">
  • Ensure the design team works in accordance with company procedures, including Engineering, CAD, and QA procedures.">
  • Identify potential improvements to client systems and procedures."]">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.">
  • Professional qualifications, such as MIMechE or MIET, or equivalent certifications.">
  • Detailed knowledge of the design process, engineering, and engineering design.">
  • Good understanding of project commercial issues and constraints.">
  • Appreciation of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and procedures.">
