Job Overview

The Role of Test Automation Engineer is designed to assist the team in developing and maintaining a comprehensive automated testing strategy that meets our business needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Automated Test Suites: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for the full tech stack, including UI, API, microservices, and database.
  • Guide SDETs: Guide senior developers in enhancing, optimizing, and stabilizing automated test suites.
  • Contribute Tool Analysis: Conduct tool analysis, create proof-of-concept models, and provide recommendations for tools selection process.
  • Implement Best Practices: Implement coding guidelines, peer reviews, Git workflow, process workflow, quality gates, CI/CD process, etc., based on defined best practices.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint grooming, planning, demos, retrospectives, Go/No Go meetings, and release meetings.

Requirements
  • Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar. Familiarity with Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Testing Tools: Proficient in various full-stack open-source testing tools such as Selenium/Cypress/Playwright for web testing, Appium/Espresso for mobile testing, and Rest Assured/HTTP Client for API testing.
  • Test Strategy and Planning: Ability to build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks using industry best practices such as page-object model, data-driven framework, behavior-driven development, etc.
  • Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration skills, able to communicate technical issues and concepts to technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences.

  • AWS Experience: Experience building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
