Cloud Solutions Architect Position

The Cloud Solutions Architect role involves collaborating with our product team to understand target business processes and outcomes, and to design and document appropriate end-to-end solutions to achieve these outcomes. We are seeking an experienced Salesforce architect with specialized knowledge in Energy and Utility Cloud and extensive experience in Vlocity CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) to join our dynamic team.

  • Solution Design:
  • Create clear end-to-end designs using Miro as the primary tool, ensuring that they meet target Epic-level scope and support target volumes, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Communicate designs back to the product team to reach agreement and clearly articulate design options and their pros/cons.
  • Presentation of design options to the Fusion Design Authority when appropriate.
  • Phased Implementation:
  • Break down Epic-level designs into phases and create Feature-level designs representing those phases with detailed design artifacts.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Develop solution designs within target technologies such as Salesforce, AWS, and MS Dynamics Finance.
  • Create end-to-end solution designs between Fusion systems and external systems, supporting various integration patterns including file-based, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Design Artifacts:
  • Create/update data models, UX designs, interaction diagrams, and swimlane system diagrams as needed, depending on the scope of the Epic/Feature.
  • Value Assessment:
  • Evaluate requirements based on value, considering effort versus benefit, and guide the product team accordingly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Collaboration and Accountability:
  • Work effectively with external teams or suppliers, holding them accountable to deadlines.
  • Initiative:
  • Proactively arrange meetings with relevant stakeholders to achieve agreed solution designs efficiently.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Contribute to improved ways of working within the team.
  • Salesforce Expertise:
  • Design, implement, and optimize Salesforce solutions for clients in the energy and utility sector, focusing on Energy and Utility Cloud and Vlocity CPQ.
  • Architecture Planning:
  • Develop scalable and sustainable architecture solutions aligning with industry best practices.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in Salesforce, Energy and Utility Cloud, and Vlocity CPQ, providing guidance and recommendations to project teams.
  • Customization and Configuration:
  • Configure and customize Salesforce and Vlocity CPQ to meet specific client requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Integration:
  • Integrate Salesforce solutions with other systems and platforms, leveraging knowledge of APIs and data integration techniques.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough testing, quality assurance, and performance tuning to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Documentation:
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce Platform, Salesforce Industries (CPQ, Omniscript, etc.), and ideally AWS (serverless - step functions, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or the Dynamics platform is a plus.
  • Familiarity with payment processing, including credit/debit card transactions.
