Job Summary:

This role involves creating high-quality textures and materials for characters, props, and environments in a 3D production context. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing textures, materials, and UVs as per design specifications from production designers and art directors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create photorealistic and stylized texture maps
  • Develop efficient UV layouts for texture painting
  • Paint high-quality digital textures or manipulate photography to replicate reference material onto models
  • Ensure that texturing files are complete and ready for lighting

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Mastery of polygon and NURBS texturing techniques
  • Proficiency in Maya, Mari, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and rendering software such as Arnold, Vray, Redshift
  • Strong understanding of surfaces, lighting, and shading networks
  • Able to work collaboratively with other artists to create valid textures for production
