High-Performance Backend Developer

">About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled High-Performance Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and distributed backend services that power our platform.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to system architecture, business logic, and data pipelines while ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency at massive scale (1B+ hits daily). This role also involves mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical excellence across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Must-Have Skills:
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Core Java.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with SQL databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Solid experience in system design (LLD/HLD) and scalable distributed systems.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Hands-on with Apache Kafka (streaming & consumers).
- Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
- Strong foundation in writing maintainable code, design patterns, unit testing & integration testing.

Backend Development & Design:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable distributed systems with strong emphasis on performance, maintainability, and security.
- Write and optimize Kafka consumers for real-time data streaming.
- Develop and maintain Java/Spark jobs for large-scale data transformation and aggregation.

Data Engineering:
- Build and monitor data pipelines serving 300+ websites and handling 1B+ daily hits.
- Design systems capable of handling 10x scale growth.
- Integrate and manage upstream partner data pipelines (e.g., Google APIs).

System Reliability & Operations:
- Maintain uptime and stability of multiple distributed web applications.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and system health checks for high-availability services.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile development practices.

Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver features.
- Contribute to architectural decisions (LLD/HLD) and design reviews.

Good to Have Skills:
- Experience in designing/developing BI and data reporting systems.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
