Job Title: Embedded Vision Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking an expert in embedded vision to join our systems and R&D team. The successful candidate will be part of a team that develops cutting-edge camera and imaging solutions, image signal processor (ISP), video codec hardware as well as advanced algorithms for computer vision and image/video processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Algorithm Development: Develop and optimize depth estimation and optical flow algorithms for mobile, AR/VR, and automotive platforms.
  2. Power-Efficient Algorithm Research: Conduct research and develop power-efficient computer vision algorithms, deep learning architectures, and models for AI-enabled camera, video, AR/VR products.
  3. Hardware Acceleration: Develop or optimize image processing and computer vision algorithms for hardware acceleration.
  4. Commercialization Support: Support product teams in commercialization efforts, including solution optimization, performance profiling, and benchmarking.
  5. Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python (NumPy, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for developing computer vision algorithms and applications. Knowledge in C++ is a plus.
  6. Computer Vision Fundamentals: Strong understanding of computer vision fundamentals, including image processing techniques, feature extraction, object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
  7. Deep Learning Frameworks: Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and OpenCV for developing and deploying deep neural networks for computer vision tasks.
  8. Popular Deep Learning Architectures: Knowledge of popular deep learning architectures for computer vision such as CNNs, RNNs, GANs, & Transformer models.
  9. Mathematical Foundations: Strong mathematical foundations, including linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, and optimization techniques used in ML algorithms.
  10. Cloud Platforms: Prior exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) to deploy data pipelines and use tools/services like AWS SageMaker, Kinesis, MLFlow etc.
  11. Generative AI Algorithms: Exposure to Generative AI algorithms for Computer Vision like Stable Diffusion is a plus.
  12. GPU Programming: Experience with GPU programming and optimization using CUDA or OpenCL for accelerating deep learning computations is a huge plus.
  13. Computer Vision Libraries: Proficient in using computer vision libraries and tools for feature extraction, image registration, and object recognition.

Required Qualifications:

  • Background in digital image processing and computer vision fundamentals.
  • Background in depth estimation and optical flow algorithms.
  • Working knowledge with Open CV and vision algorithms (feature detection/description and matching).
  • Strong knowledge in data structures and working experience with C/C++ programming.
