The role of Financial Planning Manager involves overseeing the financial aspects of the organization. This position requires managing project accounting, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting business growth through strong financial governance and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project-wise profitability and cash flow management.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize project margins.

Financial Management & Reporting

The incumbent will lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely MIS reporting, variance analysis, and financial projections. They will also monitor actual performance against budgets and provide actionable insights.

Budgeting & Forecasting

The Financial Planning Manager will prepare annual budgets and forecasts in alignment with business objectives, track project-specific budgets, and support project managers with financial data.

Project Accounting & Control

This role involves supervising accounting for construction projects, including work-in-progress (WIP), billing, subcontractor accounts, and material reconciliations. The incumbent will ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies specific to construction contracts and manage contract accounting, retention money, and escalation claims.

Compliance & Audit

The Financial Planning Manager will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, liaison with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities. They will implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Treasury & Fund Management

This role involves managing cash flow requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects, maintaining relationships with banks for working capital, term loans, and BG/LC facilities, and monitoring interest costs and optimizing fund utilization.

Team Leadership & Development

The Financial Planning Manager will lead and mentor the finance & accounts team across multiple project sites, build capabilities for financial discipline at the site and corporate levels, and ensure timely closure of accounts at HO and site levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance)
  • 12–18 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the construction / infrastructure / real estate industry
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems -SAP preferred
