Job Overview

  • Spearhead the execution of a data privacy strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory landscapes such as GDPR, CCPA, and other international standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement and mature an enterprise-wide Privacy Governance Framework, promoting data protection best practices throughout the organization.
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed Privacy by Design and Default into business processes, applications, and product lifecycles, fostering a culture of data protection excellence.
  • Manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), erasure requests, and consent management processes, ensuring transparency and compliance with international regulations.
  • Monitor global data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and sectoral laws, providing strategic recommendations for organizational response.
  • Assess third-party vendor privacy controls and review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), mitigating potential risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Track and report on global privacy regulatory changes, recommending organizational response strategies and ensuring proactive risk management.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs across global teams, promoting data protection literacy and cultural competence.
  • Participate in external privacy forums, working groups, and keep pace with industry trends, staying ahead of emerging data protection challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • A Master's degree (MBA, LLM, or MS in Cyber Law/Information Security) is highly desirable.
  • 6 years of dedicated experience in privacy, data protection, IT compliance, or legal advisory roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working on privacy programs in IT services, SaaS, or BPO/ITES environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • Mandatory (any two preferred): CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT.
  • DCPP (Data Privacy Certified Professional).
  • ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
