About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned expert in IBM Sterling Integrator to join our team at Glansa Associates. As an Advanced IBM Sterling Integrator Expert, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, managing, and maintaining integration solutions within the IBM Sterling platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Integration Solutions: Develop EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) solutions using IBM Sterling Integrator, focusing on creating and maintaining Maps to transform data for communication between trading partners.
  • Data Transformation and Mapping: Develop and manage data transformation rules, utilizing Maps to map different formats (e.g., EDI, XML, CSV) between trading partners.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing integration solutions in the IBM Sterling Integrator platform.
  • Map Template Development: Create and update Map templates for integration with various ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications.
  • Data Validation and Error Handling: Implement data validation, error handling, and business rules using Maps.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and clients to understand integration requirements and transform business logic into workable mapping solutions.
  • Integration Monitoring: Manage and monitor integrations to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Perform root-cause analysis for integration issues and provide solutions.
  • Industry Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support for IBM Sterling Integrator integration solutions, including documentation, upgrades, and enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Strong IBM Sterling Integrator Experience: Strong experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (formerly Sterling Commerce), especially in the area of Maps.
  • EDI and XML Knowledge: Solid understanding of EDI and XML formats, including mapping from EDI to XML and vice versa.
  • Map Creation and Modification: Expertise in the creation, modification, and debugging of Maps and Service Operations.
  • BPM and Routing: Hands-on experience with Sterling Integrator's Business Process Management (BPM) for routing, transformation, and orchestration.
  • SFG and SBI Familiarity: Familiarity with Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI).
  • XSLT and XPath Proficiency: Proficiency in XSLT, XPath, and JavaScript for custom mapping and data transformations.
  • Protocol and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with various protocols and technologies such as FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, Web Services, and others.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Industry Standards and Best Practices: Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in B2B integration.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with business users, technical teams, and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer Science or IT Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Cloud Experience: Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Cloud is a plus.
  • Certifications: Certifications in IBM Sterling Integrator or related integration platforms.
  • EDI Mapping Tools Experience: Previous experience in other EDI mapping tools (e.g., Seeburger, TIBCO) is a plus.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
