We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team at Oracle. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing critical revenue cycle workflows that impact customers worldwide.

You will have the opportunity to work on building applications and services from scratch and own the delivery process all the way to deployment. Our team is dedicated to developing apps using Oracle's APEX, the world's most popular enterprise low-code application platform, and building backend services hosted on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

In addition, we are developing our very own medical encoder along with an AI/ML-based autonomous coding capability. You will be part of a culture that values continuous learning and diversity and inclusion, allowing you to build your skills and career.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing new software or enhancements while considering software abilities
  • Creating strategic technical designs for complex projects within the team
  • Providing high-level architecture guidance and developing specifications to resolve software problems
  • Identifying performance and scalability challenges and providing the right technical resolutions

You will also consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features, estimate effort for current and future projects, debug complicated issues, and propose and lead process improvement projects for development, deployment, or application monitoring.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field, 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on Java/JEE, proficiency in Microservices, RESTful services, and SpringBoot, knowledge and experience in SQL and Oracle APEX, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, and strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
