Scientific Graphic Designer

We are seeking a talented professional to combine scientific expertise with creative design skills. The role involves producing accurate and visually engaging materials, including scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop visually engaging graphical abstracts representing the essence of a scientific study.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop storyboards outlining the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with the scientific content and client objectives.
  • Generate rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation.
Qualifications
  • Graduate/PhD degree in STEM fields (especially Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering)
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science and complex research into visually engaging output.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage.
  • Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstract.
  • An understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape.
