As a senior associate, your role will involve conducting in-depth business valuations for financial reporting purposes, including the application of ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718/409A, and ASC 805.

  • Analyze historical financial and operating data to identify trends and risks affecting business performance.
  • Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections and develop comprehensive discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA).
  • Perform market research and develop industry growth estimates to support informed business decisions.
  • Construct and review complex valuation models and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Present findings and analyses to internal management and external clients, effectively communicating key insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with associates, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance engagement efficiency and effectiveness.

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in fair value, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments.
  • A solid understanding of financial valuation theory and methodologies.
  • Experience with traditional valuation methods, contingent consideration, and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in working with financial databases, such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in creating and managing complex financial models in Excel.
