Job Title: VFX Mentor

A leading animation and visual effects company is seeking a highly experienced Supervisor to join their team as a remote VFX mentor. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and training to artists in the field of Visual Effects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Houdini software, with experience in teaching and mentoring others. A portfolio showcasing excellent skills and creative approach is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Houdini software training from basic to advanced levels in an easy-to-understand manner
• Share industry insights and best practices with trainees
• Enhance individual skills through effective and efficient teaching
• Orient trainees on integration between Houdini, Autodesk Maya, and Blender or vice versa
• Create compelling results for clients through proper Lookdev techniques

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini
• In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred)
• Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus
• Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Artistic skills with a high attention to detail
• Enthusiasm and creativity
• Proficiency in the English language
