Manual QA Tester Job Description

This position is a fantastic opportunity to work with an e-commerce platform, ensuring the highest quality of our applications. As a Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for testing web and mobile platforms, identifying bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience in e-commerce platforms to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of end-to-end testing, including product listings, cart functionality, checkout, and payment integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review system specifications and business requirements to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and document bugs using tools like JIRA or similar
  • Design and execute test cases (manual) for web and mobile platforms, including regression, functional, integration, and UI testing
  • Validate fixes and conduct re-testing as needed, working closely with developers and product managers to resolve issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation, maintaining high standards of quality

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester, preferably in e-commerce platforms or applications
  • Proven experience testing e-commerce platforms or applications, with a strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr), issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and automation tools (e.g., Selenium)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools
  • Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not required
