Job Title: Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging data and analytics to drive business outcomes. You will work with various stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Data analysis, modeling, and deployment – following CRISP-DM methodologies.
  • Optimization of business processes using linear/integer/nonlinear programming and heuristics.
  • Experience with gathering business requirements, transforming them into technical plans, data processing, feature engineering, hypothesis testing, and transforming findings into actionable tasks.
  • Proactive approach to improving existing pipelines (tests, support, and improvements).
  • Development and maintenance of standards to improve competency quality.
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience in working with big data technologies such as Spark (PySpark).
  • Background in other IT roles (Data Engineer, AI Engineer, Business Intelligence-related) is welcomed.
  • Understanding and experience in applying Data Science/Machine Learning methods to Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory or Sustainability).
  • Strong statistical/mathematical background.

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ of DS/Operations Research experience.
  • They will be experienced in optimization methodologies, including use of various optimization libraries.
  • Strong Python coding skills, including object-oriented programming concepts, ML libraries, and basic working knowledge of SQL.
