We are seeking a skilled Linux Repository Specialist to ensure the integrity of our software repository.

This role involves managing updates, upgrades, and patches. A high degree of technical expertise is required, with experience in bash scripting, C, and Python.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of build system tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, and source code compilation using gcc.

Other essential skills include patch management, understanding CVEs, maintaining changelogs, providing bug fixes, and reviewing changes.

Familiarity with version control systems like CVS and Git is necessary. Additionally, good troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Slackware Linux are highly valued.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage updates, upgrades, and patches for our software repository.
  • Develop and maintain build scripts using bash, C, and Python.
  • Ensure patch management and maintenance of changelogs.
  • Review and provide feedback on code changes.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Linux, bash scripting, C, and Python.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Slackware Linux.
