Public Affairs Expert

You will play a critical role in managing our organization's communication with the public, media, and institutions/agencies. You will be responsible for supporting policy initiatives while fostering a deeper understanding of our agency goals among various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to advance agency objectives and promote public awareness.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts, crafting press releases, responding to inquiries, and monitoring media coverage.
  • Represent us at institutional, policy-making, civic, and community meetings, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide counsel to senior leaders on policy formulation, assess potential public reactions, and assist in articulating policy statements.
  • Produce high-quality content, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media materials, and reports, tailored for internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct research, analyze public opinion, and regulatory trends, and prepare impactful assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Coordinate outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications, ensuring seamless program execution.
  • Track public and media perceptions, recommend improvements, and report findings to management, driving communication effectiveness.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and advocacy abilities to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present information to foster understanding and build support for policies.
  • Project management and event coordination skills for public outreach and educational programming.
  • Prior experience in public affairs or related fields is preferred.
