Threat Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Nouryon. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in enhancing our Cyber resilience and ensuring our organization can detect and respond to present threats.
You will work closely with a team of Cyber specialists in the Office of the CISO, as well as the IT department on security-related matters and other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Threat Intelligence Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to cluster and track activity of threats under intelligence requirements.
- Intelligence Product Development: Produce actionable intelligence products for internal stakeholders.
- Malware Analysis and Threat Hunting: Analyze malware, collect infrastructure, and other malicious artefacts related to threat activity.
- Incident Response Support: Provide threat intelligence enrichment and support for incident response investigations.
- Threat Intelligence Operations: Provide ongoing threat intelligence operational insights to assist the Threat Hunting process.
- Workload Management: Effectively manage workload and time to meet deadlines of intelligence deliverables.
- Security Posture Recommendations: Provide recommendations for an adaptive security posture.
- Vulnerability Management: Support efforts to manage vulnerabilities.
- Security Communication: Communicate security information and requirements to all relevant internal and external parties.
- Security Advice: Advice on the approach Nouryon takes to protect its assets.
- Risk Mitigation: Advice on mitigating identified risks by making use of automated controls and/or monitoring reports.
- Information Security Framework: Ensure implementation, adherence, and compliance with the Information Security Framework.
- Quality Checks: Quality check information security implementations and proper risk analyses.
- Additional Security Support: Support in other areas of security as needed.
- Education: Master's or bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study.
- Experience: Relevant experience working in a similar role in threat intelligence, research, or incident response that involved elements of threat actor tracking and investigation.
- Threat Intelligence Tools and Sources: Experience with Threat Intelligence tools (TIP) and threat intelligence sources (paid and OSINT).
- Cyber Security Technologies: Experience supporting and working on various cyber security technologies such as SIEM, Logging tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, Microsoft Security Suite.
- OS Fundamentals and Network Communication Protocols: Good understanding of OS fundamentals and Network Communication protocols.
- Threat Actor Tradecraft: Experience and technical knowledge of threat actor tradecraft that can be used to develop techniques to discover and track advanced threats.
- Malware and Threat Actor Techniques: Familiarity with common techniques used by malware and threat actors and the industry standard lexicon for discussing such threats.
- Scripting: Experience with scripting (PowerShell or Python) might be a plus.
- Enterprise IT Environment: Good understanding of how an enterprise IT environment is interconnected.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in an international corporation.
- Security Certifications: Threat Intelligence certifications might be a plus, or other relevant security certifications (GIAC).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written English and communication skills for producing quality intelligence reports.
- Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate indirect reports.
