A system administrator with experience in message queuing and middleware is required to maintain critical Distributed MQ Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives and issues within the technical area as well as cross-functional areas.
  • Collaborate with application development organizations and other functional IT areas to determine best practices, tuning, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Deploy, upgrade, and manage infrastructures for the MQ environment.
  • Provide consulting on the use and integration of MQ & Middleware system utilities, tools, and applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years administering IBM MQ environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills are a must.
  • Experience with IBM MQ appliances and SSL configuration is desired.
  • Understanding of network topologies, common network protocols, and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP) is required.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple MQ topologies is necessary.
  • Strong working understanding of different operating systems like Linux, Windows, and AIX is expected.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Shell, Perl, and Python to automate platform upgrades and day-to-day activities is desired.
  • Experience working with monitoring tools and log management tools is beneficial.
