Leadership Position

The role of the Vice President involves leading a team responsible for wholesale risk model development and collaborating with senior management to implement risk governance practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate regulatory updates and integrate them into model design, fostering innovation and excellence in model development and validation.
  • Analyze financial spreading logic in credit lifecycle systems and ensure proper documentation for governance and audit readiness.

Key Technical & Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement end-to-end processes for Wholesale Rating Models, including corporate/wholesale rating models and master rating scale calibration.
  • Create and validate statistical climate risk models, integrating economic and social data, and assessing potential impact of climate scenarios on financial risks.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Mentor and lead a team of modelers and consultants, promoting capability building and continuous learning within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics, experience in developing and validating Wholesale Rating Models, and deep understanding of model lifecycle best practices.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as R and Python, data analysis and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Hold a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive, multi-discipline risk management experience within the banking sector.
