Program Service Manager Job Description

We are expanding travel and tour opportunities around the world, creating growth opportunities to expand our operational presence in South Asia.

We are currently seeking a Program Service Manager / Tour Leader Training Manager/ Coach for our programs in South India and Sri Lanka, based in New Delhi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, and driving performance of the Trip leaders who lead Senior Americans on our Land tours in South India and Sri Lanka.

  • Hire and train Trip Leaders based on their fit with our Company Values (skills and experience are secondary):
  • Develop hiring and training plans to staff all departures with high-performing Trip Leaders.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 3+ years' experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing individual and team performances (Travel sector is an advantage).
  • A strong and engaging leader who is flexible, analytical, creative, independent, and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of South India and Sri Lanka.
  • Proven ability to motivate people while building relationships based on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • General administrative skills including working knowledge with databases and Microsoft Office- Word & Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using feedback models.
  • Demonstrated success in making tough decisions and taking calculated risks.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Confidence in Public Speaking and Presentation.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Country Manager India and will be responsible for:

  • Leading Trip leader meetings and training in an office environment and on the road trip simulations.
  • Developing individual training plans for newly hired Trip Leaders.
  • Driving achievement of Regional Excellence Goals through:
  • Live coaching of Trip Leaders over the phone, via video conference calls, and in person.
  • Riding along with Trip Leaders while on tour to support performance.
  • Planning and leading annual trainings and Mini trainings in South India and Sri Lanka to support the trip leader team to achieve excellence goals.
  • Assigning Trip Leaders based on past performance and company needs.
  • Interacting regularly with travelers on site.
  • Offering 24/7 emergency support for all Trip Leaders.
  • Managing all administrative duties while on the road and in office:
  • Reading all passenger quality reports and comments, analyzing them to develop coaching plans for Trip Leaders.
  • Creating and distributing Monthly Newsletter to Trip Leaders.
