Database Systems Architect

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Architect to join our team.
  • This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced professionals who can design and develop high-quality database solutions.
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, translate them into effective queries, and create reports.
  • They will analyze and improve existing SQL queries to enhance performance, manage and optimize large datasets, ensuring efficient and secure data access.
  • The ideal candidate will also handle data migration, backup, recovery, and version upgrades, as well as create and manage SQL Jobs based on application requirements.
  • Experience with ETL workflows using SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a must.
  • The selected candidate will ensure high availability, performance tuning, and security of database systems, investigate anomalies related to data or asset movement, and provide resolutions.
  • Additionally, they will support ongoing management reporting with timely and actionable insights.

Key Requirements:

  • Expertise in T-SQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server is essential.
  • A strong understanding of relational database concepts and normalization is required.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS) is necessary.
  • The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in optimizing complex SQL statements and handling large datasets.
  • Experience with MySQL is an added advantage.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are required.
