Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Economist to perform in-depth research and analysis, focusing on the Indian market across various policy spectrums and macro indicators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain econometric models to forecast future trends and potential risks.
  • Analyze historical and forecasted macroeconomic data to identify economic trends and themes.
  • Monitor and assess global economic developments and their potential impact on markets.
  • Develop and publish research commentary to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers.
  • Work on macro and market projects relevant to the Indian market. Conduct secondary research as needed.
  • Handle ad hoc requests as requested.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Economics or related field, along with 2-4 years of experience in Economic Analysis or Macro Strategy.
  • Strong quantitative and mathematical skills with experience working with large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel and VBA analytical skills, as well as knowledge of econometrics.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write research reports and comment on market developments.
  • Knowledge of database tools, including Macrobond, CEIC, World Bank, and CME.
  • Prior experience in macro research or equity research in Indian markets is a plus.
