Job Title:

Network Infrastructure Specialist

This position involves overseeing and managing customer support tickets related to existing services. Collaborating closely with the 2nd Line Service Desk team and Solution Delivery team is crucial for providing top-notch service and configuration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular communication with customers through verbal and written means
  • Providing third-line support for incoming customer queries and escalations from the 2nd Line Service Desk
  • Effective management of support tickets for incidents, changes, and service requests
  • Completing projects assigned by senior network specialists
  • Documenting customer solutions, including CMDB documentation and technical write-ups
  • Performing DR/Failover Testing
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
  • Providing resources to the solution delivery team in supporting new customer projects
  • Participating in an on-call rota for high-priority incidents outside work hours
Technical Environment:
  • Switching: Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, HP, Dell, Juniper
  • Wireless: Cisco, Meraki, Aruba
  • Security: Palo Alto, Prisma, Fortinet, Cisco ASA
  • SD-WAN: Citrix, Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Nuage
  • Cisco NAC ISE, SD-A/DNAC, DOT1x
  • Cisco Nexus 7xxx, 5xxx, 2xxx series
Requirements:
  • Proven knowledge at CCNP (ENT/DC/SP/SEC) or JNCIP-ENT level
  • In-depth understanding of network security devices/protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex faults and resolve issues
  • Advanced knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols
  • Experience with firewall management, particularly with Palo Alto, Fortigate, or Cisco ASA
  • Strong understanding of OSPF and BGP in ISP environments
  • Proficiency in packet capture and analysis
