Description: We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and efficient back-end systems that support our maritime operations platform.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design and development of software architecture that ensures high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices to ensure comprehensive unit tests.
  • Build reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong programming foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs, with good knowledge of frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Considerable expertise in secure software development and handling of sensitive data.
  • Well-established experience in all phases of development – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or any other web/app server.
  • Experience in containerization tool -Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Angular, Node JS will be a plus.
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JS, Bootstrap, Ajax will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Ability to design scalable and efficient backend systems.
