About the Tax Index Publisher Role
We seek a highly skilled Tax Index Publisher to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in tax concepts and a proven ability to synthesize complex material.
- As a Tax Index Publisher, you will create high-quality back-of-the-book indexes for our publications. This involves generating original content or updating existing indexes, incorporating relevant information, and adhering to strict style guidelines.
- You will be responsible for editorial tasks, including verifying your own work for accuracy and completeness, and ensuring that the information is properly presented and organized.
- This role requires a strong attention to detail, knowledge of tax concepts, and the ability to work effectively within tight deadlines.
- You will also participate in team meetings, contribute to employee evaluation processes, and develop knowledge of Thomson Reuters Legal or Tax and Accounting publications and products.
- As a member of our team, you will prioritize your work, understand the roles and responsibilities of each collaborator, and demonstrate competence in company-specific systems.
- Collaboration with other teams and individuals is essential, and you will work closely with them to maintain our indexes as part of our world-class commentary collection.
About You
We are looking for a self-starter with a professional degree in a relevant field (JD, CPA, LLM, MBA), certifications in tax or accounting, and experience working in tax or accounting. You should be an analytical thinker, able to use logic and collaborate to solve difficult problems.
- You should be decisive, with a focus on making quality decisions quickly, and driven by deadlines, able to deliver results.
- You should be able to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal or tax material effectively.
- You should be comfortable with personal computers, familiar with word processing and online applications, and able to prioritize tasks and projects.
- You should be a great teammate, able to work successfully in a shared environment, and a strong communicator, able to speak and write clearly and effectively.
