Key Role and Responsibilities:

As a senior design manager, you will be responsible for leading the design and detailed engineering of static equipment, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards. This includes reviewing client specifications, data sheets, and technical documents to guarantee alignment with project requirements.

You will develop and validate mechanical design calculations using specialized tools and guide the preparation and review of fabrication drawings, MTOs, inspection and test plans, and vendor documents. Your expertise in team management and leadership will be essential in ensuring timely delivery of engineering outputs.

Effective coordination with other disciplines is crucial to ensure design integration. You will participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and vendor meetings, providing technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases. Ensuring compliance with project timelines and client specifications is also a critical aspect of this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 10–18 years of relevant experience in static equipment design for EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects

This position requires strong expertise in design codes and proficiency in design software. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders. Understanding of project lifecycle in an EPC environment is also vital.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong expertise in design codes: ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & Div.2, TEMA, API 650/620, PD 5500, IS codes
  • Proficiency in design software: PV Elite, Compress, NozzlePro, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication drawings and vendor coordination
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
  • Understanding of project lifecycle in EPC environment
