Job Title: IPv6 Strategist

• We're seeking an experienced IPv6 strategist to lead our network transition from IPv4 to IPv6.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IPv6 Network Deployment: Develop and implement comprehensive IPv6 network deployment plans aligned with business objectives.
2. Addressing Scheme Design: Design efficient IPv6 addressing schemes, subnetting, and hierarchical IP plans to support current and future network growth.
3. Routing Architecture Planning: Plan and design IPv6 routing architectures using protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.
4. Documentation and Deployment: Create detailed network design documentation and deployment guides for IPv6.
5. Migration Strategy Development: Assess existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration and recommend transition strategies (dual-stack, tunneling, translation).
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network operations, security, and application teams for IPv6 deployment.
7. Pilot Deployments: Lead IPv6 pilot deployments and oversee full-scale rollouts across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
8. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Monitor and troubleshoot IPv6 deployment issues and provide solutions to optimize performance.
9. Security Policy Establishment: Establish IPv6 security policies and best practices to protect network infrastructure.
10. Training and Support: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on IPv6 standards, deployment methodologies, and vendor technologies. Provide training and technical support to engineering and operations teams on IPv6.
