Oracle EBS DBA Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Applications Database Administrator (DBA) to oversee the management and maintenance of our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 environments.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administration, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades of Oracle EBS environments.
  • This role requires hands-on expertise in database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, and space management.
  • Responsibilities also include applying Oracle EBS patches and updates while ensuring minimal downtime.
  • The successful candidate will monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in both Oracle Applications and Database environments.
  • They will collaborate closely with developers, functional teams, and infrastructure teams to support ongoing operations.
  • Additional duties involve managing Concurrent Managers, Workflow, and Forms/Reports Server within Oracle EBS.
  • This position demands high availability, security, and scalability of Oracle EBS and database systems.
  • Key responsibilities also include cloning and refresh activities for development and test environments.
  • The role requires implementing and maintaining Oracle WebLogic Server and OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) for R12.2.
  • Collaboration on automation and scripting for routine DBA tasks is also an essential part of this role.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Oracle EBS administration, including installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades.
  • Hands-on expertise in database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, and space management.
  • Ability to apply Oracle EBS patches and updates while ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve performance issues in both Oracle Applications and Database environments.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in managing Concurrent Managers, Workflow, and Forms/Reports Server within Oracle EBS.
  • Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server and OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) for R12.2.
