Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and effective security incident response is required within a 24x7 SOC environment.
  • Operation teams must be led to effectively maintain the lifecycle of both on-premises and cloud-based security solutions.
  • Security and operational incidents, as well as ongoing security requests, need to be managed.
  • Swift identification, containment, and remediation of security incidents are coordinated and managed.
  • Incident response playbooks and procedures are developed and maintained.
  • Cyber forums, both formal and informal, participate in and contribute to.
  • Audits and reviews requests support all.
  • Information security industry developments are monitored and communicated on potential impact or applicability to the organization.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Global vulnerability management processes including OS and infrastructure patching, hardening, and testing efforts are supported.
  • Regular VAPT assessments are conducted and remediation activities are prioritized.
  • Collaboration with IT teams to implement and validate security patches and updates is necessary.

Security Tools Operation:

  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for security solutions which includes new investments and business-as-usual financials is managed.
  • Various security tools including HIDS, NIDS, IPS, analysers, scanners, etc. are operated and managed.
  • Continuously monitoring and analysing security tools to identify active threats, attacks, vulnerabilities, and exposures is required.
  • Prioritized identified threats and vulnerabilities for remediation activities within the team are necessary.

Threat and Vulnerability Identification:

  • Assistance in the identification and evaluation of security threats and vulnerabilities is provided.
  • In-depth analysis of security events to determine the root cause and potential impact is conducted.
  • Mitigation and remediation solutions recommendations to address identified security issues are provided.

Qualification and Experience

  • Proven track record for managing technical resources to deliver technology lifecycle is required.
  • Relevant information security experience working with or for a global exchange or a global financial firm or other IT operational experience is necessary.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in cloud technologies and familiar with cloud security architecture, design and operations is needed.
  • Relevant experience with SecDevOps principles, Security Automation and Orchestration is necessary.
  • Experience with industry best-practice approaches to the design, implementation, operation and management of IT systems (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, ITIL, COBIT) is required.
  • Experience with information security (e.g. CISSP, CCSP) is necessary.
  • Strong information security technology knowledge/concept and can effectively communicate with senior management and a broad range of technical/non-technical audiences is required.
  • Strong written communication skills, experienced with writing board-level papers and verbal presentations to senior management is necessary.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
