Inventory Manager Role

This is a strategic role that involves overseeing centralized warehouse operations to ensure seamless distribution across India. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and supervising the replenishment planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage stock keeping of all categories – uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules.
    • Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements.
    • Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory.
    • Plan and manage inventory replenishment with procurement teams.
  • Dispatch & Logistics Operations:
    • Develop and execute pan-India dispatch plans to meet defined timelines.
    • Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy.
    • Negotiate and coordinate with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery.
    • Monitor shipment movement and resolve escalations to ensure zero service gaps.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a key point of contact for academic, non-academic, and regional teams for dispatch requirements.
    • Align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules.
    • Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages.
  • Process Compliance & Reporting:
    • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) – dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, delivery adherence.
    • Prepare management information systems (MIS) and dashboards for inventory movement, pending orders, aging inventory.
    • Identify areas for process optimization and cost efficiency.
