About this role:

">

As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure. This includes administering and supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, monitoring system health and performance, and ensuring compliance with security and governance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Administer and support GCP infrastructure services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.).">
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using GCP monitoring tools.">
  • Manage user access and security policies via IAM and service accounts.">
  • Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for GCP services.">
  • Deploy, configure, and manage networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, Load Balancers, Firewalls) within GCP.">
  • Automate operational tasks using Terraform / Deployment Manager / scripts.">
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on GCP.">
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for application deployment and integration.">
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.">
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for GCP operations.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration and support.">
  • Hands-on with GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Networking, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub.">
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration.">
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.">
  • Understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPC peering).">
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.">
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices, IAM, and compliance.">
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).">
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.">

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Terraform / Ansible / Deployment Manager.">
  • Exposure to Kubernetes (GKE) and container management.">
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.">
  • GCP Certification is a plus.">
