Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced data engineer who possesses a strong understanding of modern data warehouse solutions, including Snowflake and Azure Data Factory. The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover opportunities that lie hidden with the ultimate goal of realizing the data's full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative data engineering and analytics solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This includes designing/implementing Snowflake objects, working with structured and unstructured data, and experience in building ETL/data warehouse transformation processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have expertise in SQL and Spark (PySpark), experience working with Open Source non-relational/NoSQL data repositories, and proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Query Optimization.

You will also need to be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment with several ongoing concurrent projects. Additionally, experience working in Agile methodology and having Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing Modern Data Warehouse solutions using Snowflake and ADF.
  • Designing/implementing other Snowflake objects.
  • Working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience in building ETL/data warehouse transformation processes.
  • Expertise in SQL and Spark (PySpark).
  • Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Query Optimization.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment with several ongoing concurrent projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Total 6+ years' of IT experience and 3+ years' experience in Data warehouse/ETL projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowsight and Snowflake connectors.
  • Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management principles.
  • Good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture.

Preferred Skills:
