Job Description

The Role of a Project Manager in Data Protection Compliance

A project manager is required to oversee the implementation of a data protection compliance framework across all business units.

To be successful, you will need to lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Clarien Bank's compliance program in alignment with Bermuda equivalent data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against data protection requirements.
  • Work with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
  • Oversee the development of data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial services sector, as well as an in-depth understanding of data privacy regulations such as PIPA or GDPR.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills are also essential. Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business processes is required.
