Job Description:

We seek an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in Computer Science or a related field, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work, and a minimum of 12 years of experience in teaching and industry. The successful candidate will provide effective and inspiring leadership as a department head, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs, and contributing to the growth and development of the university.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and execution of institutional strategies for growth and development.
  • Developing strong linkages with academic departments and units, adding value to line departments through faculty and student development, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary research training.
  • Collaborations and Research: Developing mutually beneficial linkages with industry, conducting market research studies, and implementing best practices.
  • Academic: Managing research programs and administrative affairs, creating an environment conducive to intellectual and research growth, and publishing research papers in Scopus-indexed journals.
  • External Representation: Representing the university on various professional bodies, building relationships with the community, government agencies, and society at large.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have substantial leadership and management experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary:

Rs. 25,00,000 - Rs. 30,00,000 per annum (estimated).
