Audit Manager in Residential Real Estate

Our team is seeking a seasoned Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements in the Residential Real Estate sector, with a focus on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD compliance audits.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to ensure compliance with US GAAP, HUD guidelines, and IRS Section 42 requirements.
  • You will review and prepare financial statements, audit workpapers, and compliance reports, driving client engagements and ensuring timely delivery of audit deliverables.
  • This position requires providing strategic guidance on compliance monitoring, risk mitigation, and internal control assessments.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in public accounting, preferably in affordable housing or LIHTC engagements.
  • An in-depth understanding of affordable housing regulations, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC program sensitivities is essential.
