Senior Unreal Engine Programmer

Job Description:

Rickshaw Studios is a renowned game development company that seeks an experienced Senior Unreal Engine Programmer to drive the development of gameplay and mechanics for our upcoming title. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in defining the technical vision, collaborating closely with designers and artists to bring the game to life. With your extensive expertise and leadership abilities, you will guide the programming team, ensure high-quality code, and contribute to the overall direction of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with game designers, artists, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, gameplay mechanics, and technical specifications.
  2. Develop complex gameplay systems, mechanics, and features using Unreal Engine, ensuring they align with the project's vision and objectives.
  3. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  4. Collaborate with the technical team to solve complex technical challenges, optimize performance, and improve the overall quality of the game.
  5. Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering their growth and development in Unreal Engine and game development practices.
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and workflows, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Unreal Engine Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and a deep understanding of its core systems, Blueprints, and C++ programming.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.
