Job Opportunity: Data Engineer - Cloud Services

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to develop and maintain large-scale data acquisition pipelines for structured and unstructured data, utilizing Google Cloud services.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building complex datasets based on business requirements, leveraging tools such as Python and BigQuery.
  • This role involves designing and implementing 'big data' pipeline architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data acquisition and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • The selected individual will utilize a range of Google Cloud tools, including DataFlow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage, to integrate systems and data pipelines.
  • Additionally, they will implement logs and alerts to monitor pipeline performance and ensure data security, and replicate SAP tables to Google Cloud using SLT and develop JSON messaging structures for integrating with various applications.
  • In this role, the Data Engineer will leverage DevOps and CI/CD practices, including GitHub and Terraform, to ensure the reliability and scalability of data pipelines.
  • The ideal candidate will also be responsible for partitioning, clustering, and retrieving content in Big Query, utilizing IAM roles and Policy Tags to secure data access.

Requirements:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in GCP data engineering role (offshore)
  • Hands-on experience in GCP tools, including Python, SQL, Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
