Merchandising Expert

  • This role leads the merchandising function, optimizing the buying cycle and streamlining procurement strategy for efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have past experience in managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years), with a Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology. Strong understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes is essential, along with technical skills in pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AUTO CAD preferred.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize current processes or set up new processes to improve procurement strategy and ensure the shortest possible cycle of production.
  • Ensure on-time fulfillment by capacity planning and production planning with suppliers and vendors.
  • Share detailed technical packs or specification sheets and quality standards for coordination with vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and address any issues or non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with production plans and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Past experience in managing production or sourcing.
  • Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology.
  • Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes.
  • Technical understanding of pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AUTO CAD preferred.
  • Merchandise Sourcing Knowledge - Experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel & data visualization tools.
