Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Leader

Description:

The role of a MEL Manager involves leading and strengthening the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning function within a dynamic project operations environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical Engagement & Research Design:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and participate in technical discussions to define research objectives and methodologies for both qualitative and quantitative studies.

  • Indicator Identification & Evaluation:

Lead the process of identifying, evaluating, and finalizing key performance indicators and research objectives aligned with project goals.

  • Proposal Development:

Design and develop comprehensive proposals for Monitoring & Evaluation, Impact Assessment, and Need Assessment studies.

  • Capacity Building:

Train and develop data collection teams on methodologies, tools, and ethical guidelines.

  • Tool Development & Digitalization:

Oversee tool translation and validation checks, ensuring seamless conversion of paper-based questionnaires into digital formats.

  • Implementation & Execution:

Execute MEL activities as per project requirements, ensuring timely data collection and efficient field operations.

  • Data Management & Analysis:

Supervise data review processes, including cleaning, validation, and analysis, ensuring dataset integrity and accuracy.

  • Reporting:

Prepare high-quality reports translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Consultant & Stakeholder Management:

Effectively manage external consultants and internal teams, fostering collaboration and performance tracking.
