Database Administrator Role

This position involves overseeing the performance and security of our PostgreSQL databases to ensure they operate optimally.

  • Database Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL databases with precision.
  • Data Modeling: Design and implement PostgreSQL data models that align with application requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize PostgreSQL settings for enhanced query response times and throughput.
  • Backup and Recovery: Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for data integrity.
  • Security and Troubleshooting: Implement robust security measures to protect PostgreSQL data, manage access controls, and monitor for security threats and vulnerabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and concepts, experience with relational databases and data modeling, and proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Certifications in PostgreSQL and experience with cloud-based deployments are advantageous.
