Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the data engineering group, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing highly scalable data capture and transformation processes.

  • You will design, develop, and implement data models for various applications, ensuring that they meet the required standards and requirements.
  • You will create data mapping documents, write functional specifications, and queries for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and OLAP applications, aligning with industry best practices.
  • You will work closely with the Database Engineering team to create optimal physical data models, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • You will manage data modeling repositories and support model-driven development, ensuring that all changes are thoroughly documented and communicated effectively.
  • You will define and govern data modeling/design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies, promoting consistency and quality across the organization.
  • You will champion Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Quality Analysis processes, driving improvements and enhancements throughout the data platform.

In this role, you will collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Data Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other teams to design and develop next-generation data platforms, leveraging your expertise in hybrid data environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with hybrid data environments that leverage both distributed and relational database technologies.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, architecture, and its implementation in complex environments.
  • Good experience in OLTP and OLAP systems, ETL tools, and data ingestion frameworks.
  • Experience as a designer of complex Dimensional data models for analytics services.
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment.
