Job Opportunity

As a highly motivated data engineer with 3–4 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing large-scale data processing solutions.

This contract remote role requires hands-on expertise in PySpark, Python, SQL and real-time data streaming to contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines using PySpark, Spark and Python to ensure seamless data transformations and optimal performance.
  • Implement ETL/ELT solutions to integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain Hive queries to optimize data workflows and ensure efficient data processing.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets to improve query performance and scalability.
  • Build, monitor and support real-time streaming solutions using Apache Kafka to ensure timely data delivery and minimal latency.
  • Work on Databricks to create, manage and optimize data workflows and ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Deploy and manage solutions in Azure cloud services to ensure secure and reliable data storage and processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions and meet business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on PySpark and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of Spark, Hive, SQL and Unix shell scripting to ensure efficient data processing and manipulation.
  • Experience working with Databricks in a production environment to ensure smooth data workflows and optimal performance.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services to ensure secure and reliable data storage and processing.
  • Experience working with Apache Kafka or other real-time streaming technologies to ensure timely data delivery and minimal latency.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills to resolve complex data-related issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies quickly.
